Born To Read is an early literacy hospital visitation program utilizing volunteers to deliver Born
to Read canvas bags with educational resources for parents. The bags contain a Board book for
infants, a parenting video and other educational materials. Born To Read bags are currently
being distributed at Tuomey Regional Medical Center in Sumter County and Clarendon Memorial
Hospital in Clarendon County. The message to parents: reading to babies encourages early
learning!
