In partnership with Sumter County First Steps, grants and awards are given to childcare programs in Sumter county to
enable improvements related to staff education/training and/or improved curriculums. The grants are designed to assist
childcare programs in advancing through the credentialing process and to increase the number of accredited childcare
programs. Check with your local First Steps office to see if grants are available in your county.
